    Журналистка. В 1920 начала сотрудничать одновременно в двух газетах - "Филадельфия паблик леджер" [Philadelphia Public Ledger] и "Нью-Йорк ивнинг пост" [New York Evening Post]. В 1925-34 возглавляла берлинский корпункт этих газет, но была выслана за антифашистские репортажи. В 1936-58 имела свою колонку "Занесено в протокол" ["On the Record"] во многих газетах; в 1939 часть материалов опубликовала в сборнике "Пусть говорят документы" ["Let the Record Speak"]. В 1928-42 была замужем за писателем С. Льюисом [ Lewis, (Harry) Sinclair]
